Read on the patio listening to bird calls, swim, fish, canoe or hike at RiverStill. If that's not enough, then take a leisurely drive on one of the scenic routes in the area and visit the Marico Eye.
The Marico river
Cool down in the unpolluted waters of the Groot Marico or canoe up and down the river. Try the nifty swing over the river. Fishing is good during summer. Please practise catch-and-release except, with Black Bass which should be removed from the river - even small ones - as they are decimating the endemic Yellow Fish population.
Walks and hikes
Hike up Stone Clad Mountain (7 km's of trails) and savour some wild fruits on your way. Take a calming walk next to the river or meditate as you walk through the stone labyrinth. Stop for a picnic next to the charming old canal and dream the impossible dream.
Pack a daypack and go bird watching next to the river - we have around 360 magnificent species to keep your eyes and ears alive.
The Marico Eye
Take a leisurely drive on one of the scenic routes in the area and visit the Marico Eye - the crystal-clear source of the river that flows through the farm.
Groot Marico town
Of note to visit are the Information Centre in the main road and the Bosman Living Museum.
The town has a butchery, a general store where you can buy basics and couple of small restaurants.
